It was during a Christian programme

"On March 15, 2011 when I met this beautiful lady,  I had come to Kumasi from Jirapa in the Upper West Region, where I was doing national service after graduating from the university. It was a Christian programme, and I was one of the speakers. Immediately I saw her, I felt something different. You can't be wrong about that! It was such a strong feeling, and surely, it grew stronger, and more entrenched after our first conversation. It was a Moba-Gey Hey union. We married last year, 21st June, and I have since been enjoying this gift of a woman God gave me."

She was caring and supportive

“I met her while I was a student intern at a private radio station in Takoradi. She worked with the marketing department when I started as an assistant in the news room. I cherished the few occasions we crossed each other's path, especially during general meetings where I often had the opportunity to talk to her. Later, when I had the chance to work more closely with her, I realised how caring and supportive she was. I wouldn't want to see such a woman being maltreated by any man, so on December 2009,  after four years of dating, we married."

I was heartbroken after losing my ex

"I believe that every misfortune is a blessing in disguise. I lost my ex to another man, and I was deeply heartbroken. Four months later, I got a new job, and it was at the workplace that I found her. She had also been assigned to the same office. We became very close and attached so I proposed and -- best thing is -- she accepted. We got married December, 2013. We've been blessed with a bouncing baby boy. My wife is my hope, my joy and the reason for my smiles. I thank God for giving me an angel."

We met in a tro tro

"We met in a tro tro (minibus) from Sofoline to Kejetia in Kumasi. Interestingly, I would travel to the UK the following day. However, we kept in touch via phone and other types of messaging. After two years of studying, I returned to marry her. "

She rejected my first proposal

"We both studied biochemistry at the university.  She was that beautiful lady who turned down proposals from almost half of the guys in our class. She rejected mine too, but I didn't give up. We became friends, I showed genuine concern,  and everything happened naturally. We married last year -- four years after school, and I'm glad I married her. "

We were both national service personnel at the same institution

"We met when we were both national service personnel at the same institution. We became very close during that period so I used the opportunity to propose, which she accepted. Now, we're already done with the traditional marriage rites. Our church wedding is next month, 17th May, and you're cordially invited."

I was shy at first

"Her older sister was my friend in the university. She would come and visit her,  so that's how I spotted her. When we met during her sister's graduation, she offered me food,  but I politely declined  even though I was very hungry at the time. I was shy, but glad to talk with her. After school, I travelled to Norway for further studies  and came back after two years to marry her."

I had no plans for a relationship

We first connected through a mutual friend. At that time, I had no plans for a relationship. However, my interest in her grew each day we talked or texted. And when I first saw her,  it was during the fasting period. There, I knew she was the one. We married four months later. I'm happy. I found a wife and soul mate when I  least expected it."

I proposed on the first day

"First day I met my wife, I proposed. She said I should see her father. I did.  Oldman told me to cut my dreadlocks.  I did. This is our sixth anniversary ."
